About The Position

This position involves operating a yard truck to move trucks and trailers within the manufacturing facility's yard, ensuring equipment and cargo are in good working order, and providing excellent customer service while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

Must have a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
NO CDL-A required.
Previous experience with operating a switcher truck preferred.
Previous experience driving a day cab preferred.
High School Diploma or GED required.
Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills is essential.
Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Reliability is a must.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with operating a switcher truck preferred.
Previous experience driving a day cab preferred.

Responsibilities

Docking and repositioning of trailers.
Moving semi-trailers within a cargo yard environment.
Inspecting both tractors and containers to ensure smooth maneuvering of all equipment and product.
May be asked to use other equipment such as forklift.
May be asked to assist in manually offloading and loading product or equipment.
Perform yard checks.
Clean out empty trailers.
Fill out necessary delivery forms and paperwork.
Use chocks and glad locks to ensure safety when unloading trailers.
Other duties as assigned.
