Requirements

At least 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more

Responsibilities

Operate yard trucks and trailers to move equipment within the yard.
Ensure that equipment is properly positioned for loading and unloading
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure that equipment is in good working condition
Keep the yard clean and organized
Assist with loading and unloading equipment when needed
Communicate with the operations team to ensure that equipment is ready when needed
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
Discerning suitable vehicle and container placements
Maneuvering vehicles and containers between areas of our facility
Assisting other Yard Hostlers by directing their vehicular movements, if needed
Transporting materials to the weighing platform
Cleaning and refueling designated vehicles
Sanitizing containers before and after every shipment
Inspecting vehicles to discern potential maintenance needs
Tending to or reporting on maintenance requirements
Stowing equipment away after their use
Maintaining orderliness, communication, and safety in the yard
