About The Position
Up-North Plastics, a leading manufacturer of plastic products, is seeking a Yard Hopper at its Cottage Grove, MN location. The Yard Hopper works on a 12 hour 6AM-6PM day shift, working 3 days one week and 4 days the next. A successful candidate must be able to operate a Yard Jockey Truck, a Forklift, inventory control software, and RF scanners. STARTING PAY OF $19.00-$22.00
Requirements
- Experience driving commercial trucks or yard mules.
- A current US Driver's license (CDL not required).
- The ability to handle trailers quickly in tight spaces.
- The ability to operate forklifts.
- Strong computer skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating inventory control software.
- Experience operating RF scanners.
Responsibilities
- Relocating, docking, and transporting trailers within our manufacturing facility.
- Unloading materials from trailers.
- Inventorying materials.
- Picking materials.
- Keeping up with a fast-paced production environment while accurately recording information.
- Using propane, sit-down forklifts to help load and unload trailers.
- Using a Yard Jockey to move around trailers.
- Additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.
