About The Position

Techo-Bloc is seeking a Yard Forklift Operator to join their yard at the Ayr Production Facility. This role involves operating a forklift to load and unload commercial vehicles, picking and preparing orders, inspecting products, and maintaining quality standards. The position contributes to a safe and organized workplace by following safety protocols and collaborating with team members to achieve daily targets.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience operating forklifts and yard equipment in production or warehouse environments.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of product quality.
Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety protocols with a proactive approach to compliance.
Effective verbal and written communication skills for clear interaction with team members and supervisors.
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle challenges and situations effectively and efficiently.
Manual dexterity and proficiency in handling equipment and materials with precision.
Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
Recognizes the importance of showing up on time every day to maintain production flow and team performance.

Responsibilities

Operate a forklift safely and confidently to load and unload commercial vehicles, keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Accurately pick and prepare orders (picks & preps) to ensure customers receive the right product, on time and in top condition.
Inspect products and assemble sample orders with precision and care.
Monitor product quality and ensure all specifications are consistently met.
Follow established safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
Proactively identify and report product discrepancies or equipment concerns.
Wear and maintain required PPE in line with training and company standards.
Support day-to-day yard operations and step in where needed.
Work closely with forklift operators, drivers, and teammates to hit daily targets and drive overall team success.
