About The Position

We are looking for a hardworking, dependable Yard Employee to join our building materials team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, helping customers, and being part of a fast-paced team environment. As a Yard Employee, you will assist with loading and unloading materials, maintaining inventory, organizing the yard, and providing excellent customer service to contractors, builders, and homeowners.

Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience preferred but not required; training available.
• Experience in the building materials, lumber, or construction industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload lumber, drywall, roofing, siding, and other building materials.
• Assist customers with selecting and loading products.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and well-stocked.
• Pull and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Receive incoming shipments and verify materials against packing slips.
• Assist drivers with preparing deliveries.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following company safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with yard, warehouse, and sales team members.
