Yard Duty Supervisor
About The Position
Under the direct supervision of the school principal or designee, the Yard Duty Supervisor supervises pupils during the eating period and free-day period at noon recess. The position is employed as needed on a part-time hourly basis, for short working hours on school days only. Employees in this class are exempt from the regular classified service, do not attain permanency, receive no step increases or other fringe benefits, and are paid on the variable payroll. The role is scheduled for 2.0 hours per day, five days a week, across 9.5 work months. Listed clock hours are 7:30–8:30 and 10:05–11:05, subject to change. Requirements
- Equivalent to a high school education.
- Ability to observe students, stand for extended periods, run, walk, stoop, and bend, and hear and speak to exchange information.
- Upon conditional offer of employment, complete a DOJ and FBI criminal background check.
- Upon conditional offer of employment, complete a TB test within 60 days of hire.
- Complete district-mandated training, including Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment training.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supervising children through youth or service organizations such as scouts, church school classes, or recreational groups is desirable.
