About The Position

The Yard Driver will primarily move trailers in and out of doors at the Distribution Center (DC) and place them in designated spots on the yard. This role operates under the direction of the department manager and team leaders, performing required trailer switches which are often urgent and critical. The position also involves performing daily inspections of yard equipment, reporting defects, and ensuring units are maintained safely. Additionally, the Yard Driver may perform general warehouse duties such as loading and unloading trailers and operating forklift-type equipment, depending on the Distribution Center's needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes, as required.
• Must be able to back 48’ and 53’ trailers proficiently.
• Acceptable driving record (MVR).

Responsibilities

• Perform required trailer switches in and out of doors at the DC and place them in spots on the yard.
• Perform daily inspections of yard equipment and report all defects.
• Ensure units are maintained in a safe manner.
• Perform general warehouse duties including loading and unloading of trailers.
• Operate forklift-type equipment.
