About The Position
RSS Mobile Trailer Repair is a growing powerhouse in the Trucking Industry, founded over 31 years ago with a workforce of nearly 400 team members and a strong presence in more than 15 states. We are seeking candidates to join our expanding team in the Oconomowoc, WI area. The Yard Driver is responsible for moving 53 ft. semi-trailers safely within the warehouse, including navigating tight spaces and moving trailers in and out of loading docks and parking spots. The ideal candidate would possess a high level of spatial awareness, be proficient in operating tractor trailers, and always prioritize safety. This is a full-time position with a starting pay of $21/hour, with pay increases after 90 days and 1 year of employment based on performance/attendance. Shifts are Tuesday-Friday from 6 AM to 4 PM. Primary tasks include basic yard tractor operations, dropping and pulling trailers in dock doors, and parking them onsite. Safely maneuvering and backing semi-trailers, entering/exiting semi-trailers multiple times an hour, placing and removing wheel chocks, and lifting/opening doors are key responsibilities. Overtime is paid at time and a half after 40 hours. This role offers the benefit of being home daily as you never leave the yard, and there is no loading/unloading of merchandise. Truck driving experience is preferred but not required, and a CDL is not needed.
