About The Position

This is a full-time Yard Driver position on the 2nd shift, working Monday through Thursday. The primary responsibility is to move trailers in and out of doors at the Distribution Center (DC) and place them in designated spots on the yard. The role also involves performing daily inspections of yard equipment, reporting defects, and ensuring units are maintained safely. Additionally, the Yard Driver may perform general warehouse duties, including loading and unloading trailers and operating forklift-type equipment, as needed by the Distribution Center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes, as required.
• Must be able to back 48’ and 53’ trailers proficiently.
• Driving record (MVR) must be acceptable.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform required trailer switches, which are often urgent and critical, under the direction of the department manager and team leaders.
• Perform daily inspections of yard equipment and report all defects.
• Ensure yard equipment is maintained in a safe manner.
• Perform general warehouse duties as needed, including loading and unloading trailers.
• Operate forklift-type equipment as needed.
