About The Position
Sofo Foods is one of the nation's largest family-owned wholesale distributors of Italian and specialty foods. We're looking for a dependable CDL A Yard Driver to join our team at our Suwanee, GA Distribution Center. In this role, you'll play a vital part in keeping our operations running smoothly by safely moving trailers to and from warehouse dock doors and supporting local transportation needs.
Requirements
- Experience operating and maneuvering tractor-trailers in a yard environment.
- Valid Class A CDL required.
- Ability to safely climb in and out of trucks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to successfully pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Availability to work 2nd Shift (Afternoons).
Responsibilities
- Safely move tractor-trailers throughout the yard and position them at warehouse dock doors.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
- Report maintenance issues and repair needs to help keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently.
- Pick up local products and complete additional driving assignments as needed.
- Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations.
