About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Yard Dog to join our warehouse and yard operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a yard truck/spotter and moving trailers safely and efficiently throughout the facility. This position requires strong attention to safety, good communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Valid driver's license required
Clean MVR required
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and safety
Good communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

Previous yard truck/yard dog or trailer spotting experience preferred
Experience operating a tractor-trailer or yard truck preferred
Ability to safely maneuver trailers in tight spaces

Responsibilities

Safely operate a yard truck/yard dog to move and position trailers throughout the facility
Spot trailers at designated loading and unloading docks
Move trailers between the yard, docks, and designated parking areas
Connect and disconnect trailers safely
Perform trailer and equipment inspections before operation
Communicate with warehouse and shipping/receiving teams regarding trailer movements
Maintain accurate trailer locations and yard organization
Follow all yard traffic rules and safety procedures
Keep the yard organized and free of hazards
Assist with loading, unloading, and other warehouse duties as needed
Perform other yard and material-handling duties as assigned
