About The Position

This position requires a dependable, and detail-oriented individual to assist with vehicle checks and general yard operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, helping the public, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. The position also involves various customer service duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public.
  • Basic computer skills, including the use of tablets or mobile devices for transactions.
  • Ability to manage stress and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
  • Regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in recycling, yard labor, or manufacturing is helpful but not required
  • Prior customer service or yard work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the public in navigating the property and ensure smooth traffic flow.
  • Check-in visitors, assess the amount of waste being disposed of, and charge them accordingly.
  • Use a tablet to track all transactions, process payments, and maintain accurate records.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the grounds, including picking up trash, ensuring designated areas are tidy, and performing general yard maintenance tasks.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Handle various types of payments from customers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer phone calls in a professional and helpful manner.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality as an essential part of this job.
  • Clean and maintain all outdoor and indoor facilities.
  • Direct and guide vehicles to safe exit areas during heavy seasonal traffic.
  • Use hand tools such as rakes, shovels, brooms, pickers, and other tools to keep the areas clean from debris.
  • Communicate with Supervisor(s) and Manager(s) for direction as needed.
