About The Position

As a Yard Attendant / Dry Person with Dumas, you will support daily operations by maintaining the yard, warehouse, and dry facilities while ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are available to support underground mining activities. You will assist with inventory control, material handling, equipment inspections, and underground deliveries while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a mining, warehouse, yard, or industrial support role preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Willing and able to travel underground to deliver parts and supplies.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual labour in a demanding work environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Outstanding safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
• Knowledge of mining health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or legally authorized to work in Canada under federal immigration requirements and currently reside in Canada.

Nice To Haves

• Warehouse and inventory control experience considered an asset.
• Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core considered an asset.
• Forklift certification considered an asset.
• Experience operating light equipment or material handling equipment considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard, warehouse, and dry facilities.
• Receive, organize, and distribute materials, tools, equipment, and supplies to site personnel.
• Deliver parts, supplies, and equipment underground to support project operations as required.
• Operate light vehicles and equipment in accordance with company and site procedures.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and complete pre-operational reports prior to use.
• Report equipment defects, hazards, and repair requirements immediately.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with stock control and material organization.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the site.
• Perform general labour duties in support of project operations.
• Shoveling entrances in the winter.
• Complete daily reports, equipment logs, and required documentation.
• Follow all company, client, and site safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
• Maintain good housekeeping throughout the yard, warehouse, and dry facilities.
• All other duties as assigned by leadership.
