About The Position

84 Lumber is hiring a Yard Associate to build loads for deliveries and help maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard. The role includes loading and unloading lumber and building supplies and operating a forklift. Other duties may be assigned. The position is located at 102 E 50th St, Lubbock, TX 79404, with a Monday–Friday schedule of 7 a.m.–5 p.m. and Saturday hours of 8 a.m.–12 p.m. Pay is $15 per hour, with overtime paid at time and a half. Applicants must authorize a background check and pass a urinalysis drug screening and math assessment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; and effectively present information one-on-one.
• Ability to periodically lift up to 80 pounds.
• Must authorize a background check.
• Must pass a urinalysis drug screening.
• Must pass a math assessment.
