About The Position

As a key member of the Yacht’s Planning Committee, the Shipboard Yacht Entertainment Director is responsible for crafting and executing world-class entertainment and recreation programs. This leadership role involves mentoring a diverse team, driving innovation, and ensuring every onboard experience surpasses guest expectations while upholding the Four Seasons brand. This is a rotational position, with 3 months onboard followed by 3 months off.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of senior-level experience in luxury hospitality or cruise line entertainment management.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing entertainment teams with a focus on fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Exceptional hosting and interpersonal skills, coupled with a confident and charismatic stage presence, capable of engaging upscale and demanding clientele.
  • Strong understanding of entertainment and enrichment programs, including technical requirements, with the ability to create and execute engaging onboard activities.
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills, enabling effective interaction with guests, ship personnel, and shore-side teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing circumstances, including schedule adjustments and operational needs.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Additional fluency in Spanish, German, or French highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and inspire a team of entertainers, activity staff, Kids For All Seasons staff and marina personnel as well as guest entertainers and speakers.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute a diverse range of entertainment, including live music, themed events, and enrichment programs.
  • Drive innovation and continuously enhance the guest entertainment experience.
  • Oversee the execution of all onboard entertainment and recreation programs.
  • Collaborate and communicate voyage reports with shipboard and shoreside leadership to optimize offerings.
  • Manage departmental budgets, inventory, and technical resources.
  • Adapt programs to changing conditions (e.g., weather).
  • Oversee Marina operations and Kids For All Seasons programs through the Assistant Yacht Director.
  • Contribute to the creation and decoration of themed parties and events, and actively participate in holiday event planning.
  • Cultivate meaningful relationships with guests, acting as a visible host.
  • Serve as a passionate ambassador for the Four Seasons brand.
  • Provide voyage based entertainment ratings reports to the shoreside director of Entertainment & Recreation.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Promote open communication and professional growth.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain compliance with Four Seasons Yachts' safety and security policies.
  • Ensure all personnel under supervision are familiar with relevant safety and environmental policies, including IPM programs.
  • Follow and execute Hotel Policies as outlined in the Hotel SOP.
