About The Position

The YMCA of Columbia-Willamette is a mission-driven organization seeking individuals who are enthusiastic and passionate about our mission and vision. We put the principles of love, respect, honesty, responsibility, and service into practice every day. This is a part-time position reporting to the Youth Development Coordinator. The Y-Time Lead oversees the daily operations of the Y-Time program and potential Kids Night Out programming, including staff supervision and scheduling. In collaboration with the Youth Development Coordinator, this role ensures a safe, enriching, and developmentally appropriate experience for all participants while fostering a welcoming environment that supports the well-being and engagement of every child.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must pass YMCA background check
• Complete required training within 30 days of hire
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working with youth and families preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Y-Time and Kids Night Out programs
• Supervise, support, and help schedule program staff
• Engage children in a safe, fun, and developmentally appropriate environment
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff
• Ensure a welcoming, inclusive, and structured program environment
• Maintain accurate attendance records and program rosters
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized program space
