About The Position

Melissa Memorial Hospital (MMH) is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused X-Ray Technologist to join our Radiology team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality imaging services consistent with the standards and expectations of professional Radiologic Technologists. Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited radiology program and hold a certificate of a ARRT (R) in good standing at minimum.
  • BLS certification in good standing

Nice To Haves

  • CT certification ARRT (CT) preferred but not required at time of hire
  • Candidates who are not currently ARRT-registered in CT will be required to obtain CT certification within a reasonable timeframe after hire.
  • MMH provides on-site cross-training to support this process.
  • Following CT certification, technologists will also have the opportunity—and are strongly encouraged—to cross-train into MRI.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and/or assist with Radiographic (X-ray), CT, and C-Arm procedures while ensuring high-quality imaging and adherence to ALARA principles
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the safety, privacy, and dignity of all patients and staff
  • Perform daily X-ray and CT imaging exams
  • Participate in an on-call rotation (including weekends and holidays) for X-ray and CT once CT-registered
  • Complete clerical and workflow tasks including scheduling patients, faxing results, scanning technologist documentation, completing exams in PACS, sending images via Power Share, and entering orders into the EMR
  • Initiate and maintain intravenous (IV) lines, demonstrating proficiency in IV insertion techniques
  • Utilize C-arm fluoroscopy for pain management procedures and intraoperative imaging
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure diagnostic standards are met
  • Complete “Screening Consent” forms for every CT and MRI patient
  • Maintain cleanliness of scanners and related equipment in accordance with infection control policies and procedures
  • Assist MRI staff as needed while maintaining strict MRI safety practices for patients and staff
