About The Position
Envision Imaging is looking to add a PRN X-Ray Technologist to our team at our Keller office! This is a PRN (As-Needed) position with a pay range of $25.29 - $35.18. The X-Ray Technologist performs various types of diagnostic X-Ray procedures, adjusts X-Ray equipment settings, determines proper voltage and exposure, and positions the patient. They perform specific procedures utilizing ionizing radiation and assist physicians in assigned examinations utilizing contrast media and/or specific tomographic examinations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Registry in Radiography (R)
- Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
- Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
- Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
- Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
- Strong communication skills & professional demeanor
Nice To Haves
- Two plus years’ experience in X-Ray
Responsibilities
- Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
- Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
- Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
- Transfers images to other locations as needed.
- Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
- Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
- Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
- Other duties as assigned.
