Xray Technician - Flexi PRN position - Outpatient Surgery

Located in the Professional Office Building #52 on the UAB St. Vincent’s East Campus, the facility now provides 6 operating rooms and 9 procedure rooms and a Cysto room. This is a PRN position. Scheduled as needed. Work schedule - Need availability to be Monday - Friday for PRN. Specialties include: Orthopedic, ENT, Pain, Weight loss, GYN, Urology and Ophthalmology and GI.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
- ARRT registered or registry eligible for the ARRT certification in radiography.
- Must have Xray Degree and License
- BLS required
Nice To Haves
- Xray experience or Xray background preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides general care to patients in the facility by performing the following duties within the operating room.
- Operate C-Arm and/or portable x-ray.
- Maintain safe environment for patient, staff and physicians during radiologic exams.
- Prepares rooms and equipment for procedures.
- Maintains a clean environment by daily cleaning of all work surfaces and equipment.
- Participates in cleaning all aprons and lead shields as needed.
- Participates in patient call backs in between cases.
