About The Position

This role is for an XRay Tech in the Diagnostic Radiology department at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. The position is full-time, with evening shifts from Monday to Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The XRay Tech will be responsible for positioning patients, selecting appropriate technical parameters, maintaining inventory and supplies, keeping accurate records, and educating patients about their procedures. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is also a key aspect of this role to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Maintain inventory of supplies, clean linens, and other materials. Notify appropriate personnel to order/stock items as needed.
Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports as required by the department.
Provide education and instruction to patients regarding their procedure.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
