About The Position

Barron Industries is seeking an experienced XRAY Tech Level II for its Oxford, Michigan team. The company manufactures investment-cast and precision-machined components for the aerospace and defense industries, with an emphasis on quality systems, safety, and continuous improvement. The technician performs radiographic inspections, evaluates and documents results, supports equipment performance and calibration, and contributes to inspection-process and quality improvements. The role also includes maintaining a safe, organized work area and training Level I technicians as needed.

Requirements

Level II Radiographic Testing (RT) certification or ability to certify to NAS 410.
Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection standards.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Pass the required visual acuity examination.
Understand, follow, and implement NAS 410 and AS9100.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand for extended periods of time.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Computed Radiography (CR) and/or Digital Radiography (DR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform digital X-ray inspections using CR/DR equipment.
Interpret radiographic images and evaluate defects against customer specifications.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
Verify equipment performance and support calibration activities.
Assist in developing and improving inspection techniques and procedures.
Identify and report nonconforming products.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
Train and mentor Level I technicians as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
