About The Position

Anderson Clinic is currently seeking a skilled and motivated X-Ray Technologist to join our team. This role is responsible for operating X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment to assist radiologists and/or physicians in diagnosing and treating disease and injury. We are offering a $2,000 sign-on bonus to qualified candidates.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in radiological technology from accredited X-ray technician program.
Current state X-Ray Technology certificate or license.
One to three years of experience as X-ray technologist, preferably in medical practice environment.
Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics and patient movement.
Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.
Skill in identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.
Skill in following infection control and radiological safety procedures.
Ability to lift and position patients for the type of X-ray procedure required.
Ability to notice detail in drawings and differences in shapes and shadings.
Ability to read and write instructions, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to clients and other employees.
Ability to competently use Microsoft Office.
Standing six to eight hours per day.
Involves some bending, stooping, squatting, reaching above the shoulders, twisting, turning, kneeling, and pushing, and pulling.
Heavy lifting 75+ lbs. required to move equipment and transfer patients.
Occasional stress when working with anxious patients.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
Protect patients, staff, and self from unnecessary radiation exposure.
Operate radiographic equipment following established safety and care procedures.
Select and adjust proper ionizing factors for diagnostic accuracy.
Accurately position patients and perform X-rays as requested by physicians.
Develop and process radiological film; verify image clarity and retake if necessary.
Distribute images and results to appropriate medical personnel.
Maintain accurate patient records, logs, and required reports.
Conduct equipment checks and routine maintenance to ensure compliance with regulations.
Order and maintain radiographic supplies and inventory.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
