About The Position

Remarkable Careers.” We are currently looking for certified, or soon to be certified, X-Ray Technologists (Medical Radiation Technologist or Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technologist) to join our Leduc team in a part-time position. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.

Requirements

  • Active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT or CSCLXT & ACCLXT.
  • Clinical competency in radiography with an interest in refining and expanding skills.
  • Exposure to mammography with CAMRT Breast Imaging 1 or equivalent, is an asset.
  • Exposure to fluoroscopy, bone mineral density or interventional X-Ray procedures is also valuable.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office and patient management systems (e.g., RIS), along with an understanding of departmental equipment.
  • A history of remarkable care, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility.
  • Eligibility for registration with the ACMDTT or ACCLXT is required for out-of-province applicants.
  • All applicants must have legal authorization to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to mammography with CAMRT Breast Imaging 1 or equivalent, is an asset.
  • Exposure to fluoroscopy, bone mineral density or interventional X-Ray procedures is also valuable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform X-Ray Exams: Conduct standardized and complex imaging under the direction of Radiologists and referring Physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
  • Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
  • Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and cross-train in additional modalities such as Bone Mineral Density, Mammography, or specialized procedures in Fluoroscopy.
  • Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track X-Ray equipment performance, document findings, and assist in resolving basic issues.
  • Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for patient exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.
