The X-ray Technologist is responsible for obtaining quality x-rays using correct position and radiation exposure, implementing safety procedures to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure, and creating and documenting x-ray CD copies according to Patient First guidelines. This role also involves assisting Physicians, Extenders, and Nurses with patient treatment and care, handling requests in a timely manner, filing and maintaining x-ray paperwork, and ensuring patient safety when using equipment. The technologist will utilize Patient First reporting tools and the medical records system, maintain a clean work area, perform biological cleanup, restock supplies, and attend training and staff meetings. Additionally, the role includes supervising externs and Radiologic Technologist Assistants, being available to assist as needed, and checking email and completing assigned tasks during each shift.
