Per Diem X-Ray Technologist - Columbia
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a highly skilled X-Ray Technologist to operate X-ray equipment and produce radiographs and/or computer images of designated portions of the body. The work is performed under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of a department supervisor. This technical position has no supervisory responsibility, but contributes to quality care and supports the clinical team in diagnosing rare and complex cases. This is a per-diem position with varying shifts. The schedule is prepared monthly according to departmental needs and employee availability. The role requires on-site presence, and employees should live within commuting distance of NYP. Travel expenses are not reimbursed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an approved school of radiology.
- New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) credential.
- New graduates must have a temporary license and provide an exam date before starting employment; the New York State Radiologic Technologist license must be obtained within six months of hire.
