About The Position

Perform diagnostic outpatient imaging on patients while ensuring and maintaining proper radiation exposure requirements. Produce high quality diagnostic images and proper patient positioning. Operate proper equipment and assist Radiologists for procedures if necessary. Maintain proper documentation and terminology with knowledge of anatomy. Ability to learn new imaging protocols and equipment as needed. Ability to input patient data into RIS, PACS, VSDM. Observes patient privacy policy and complies with HIPAA. Performs routine cleaning of the work area and associated equipment, laundry, and stocking when needed. Ensures proper care and compassion with all patients. Follows appropriate policies and procedures for exams. Willing to perform and or accept other duties that may be assigned. Attendance at meetings and training sessions may be required. These sessions could occasionally be scheduled outside of your regular working hours to accommodate business needs and training opportunities. Supports mission, vision and values of the corporation.

Requirements

  • Completion of a recognized Diagnostic Radiology Program of 2 or more years.
  • Must hold a current ARRT certificate.
  • Must continue to obtain the recommended amount of Continuing Education Credits each year per certification(s).
  • Continuing education in accordance with the ARRT, ACR, and State of Michigan.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
