About The Position

This role involves performing high-quality X-ray examinations, assisting with patient positioning for MRI and CT exams, and administering contrast material. The technologist will also screen patients, support remote technologists, maintain accurate records, ensure safety compliance, and monitor equipment. Collaboration with the healthcare team and providing compassionate patient care are key aspects of this position. The role also includes assisting with workflow and operational support in the imaging center.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program.
ARRT certification in Radiography – Required
State radiologic technologist license (as applicable) – Required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – Required
Documented experience in venipuncture and IV contrast administration – Required
Strong working knowledge of radiographic procedures, anatomy, positioning, and safety practices.
Proficiency in starting IVs and handling contrast media according to protocol.
Familiarity with imaging software systems such as PACS, RIS, and EMR platforms.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy outpatient environment.
Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
Adaptable and able to support remote and hybrid imaging operations (e.g., ROCC).
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of experience in radiography in an outpatient, clinical, or hospital setting
Exposure to or training in CT or MRI is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality X-ray examinations based on physician orders and clinical protocols.
Assist in positioning patients for MRI and/or CT exams following training and protocol.
Start IVs and administer contrast material as required for imaging procedures.
Screen patients for contraindications to imaging procedures and document findings.
Support remote technologists through ROCC by assisting with onsite tasks and patient coordination.
Maintain accurate patient records and enter clinical notes into the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and infection control procedures.
Monitor and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
Work collaboratively with technologists, radiologists, and support staff to ensure smooth clinical operations.
Provide compassionate, efficient, and professional care to all patients.
Assist with workflow and operational support in the imaging center as needed.
