X-Ray Technician –Radiology - Per Diem- Every Other Weekend
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian is a world-renowned healthcare system known for its advanced diagnostic care. This role involves operating x-ray equipment to create radiographs and/or computer images under the direction of a radiologist and supervision of a department supervisor. While not a supervisory role, the X-Ray Technician is crucial for maintaining quality standards and supporting a world-class clinical team, particularly in diagnosing complex cases. This is a per-diem position offering flexible coverage, with shifts from 10 am to 6 pm, every other weekend, and holiday coverage included at NYP Westchester Hospital in Bronxville.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiology
- New York State Radiologic Technologist license from Department of Health
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Responsibilities
- Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs and/or computer images of designated portions of the body.
- Work under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of a department supervisor.
- Play a critical role in maintaining the premier level of quality.
- Assist with the diagnosis of rare and complex cases.
- Expand knowledge alongside respected professionals in the field.
