About The Position

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Technician to perform diagnostic radiographic examinations in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images.

Requirements

Minimum two (2) years of recent X-Ray Technologist experience.
Graduate of a JRCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology.
New York State Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T.).
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
Strong competency in performing diagnostic radiographic procedures.
Knowledge of radiation safety and infection prevention practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.
BLS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain examination processes.
Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Operate radiographic equipment and adjust technical factors as required.
Apply radiation protection principles to ensure patient and staff safety.
Utilize immobilization devices and shielding when appropriate.
Evaluate radiographic images for technical quality and diagnostic acceptability.
Process and verify imaging studies according to departmental procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and report maintenance concerns.
Assist with inventory management of radiology supplies and equipment.
Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare team members.
