X-Ray Technician in Poughkeepsie, NY
About The Position
Join The IMA Group as an X-Ray Technician and bring your skills to a team that values precision, compassion, and work-life balance. This part-time role is based out of our Poughkeepsie office with a predictable schedule — Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM — plus occasional travel to our Middletown location. You'll play a key role in patient care, performing diagnostic imaging that supports physicians in delivering accurate, timely evaluations. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registered Radiologic Technologist with current certification/licensure
- Completed clinical externship training
- Access to reliable transportation for travel between office locations
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of experience in a healthcare or clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for patient care
Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures with care and professionalism
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment in line with safety standards
- Deliver a positive, comfortable experience for every patient
- Keep accurate, timely documentation and patient records
- Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to support diagnoses
- Travel occasionally between our Poughkeepsie and Middletown offices
