Under the direction of a physician or APP, performs routine radiographs and minimally invasive procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that requires independent judgment and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis. Must be willing to cross train and float to meet the needs of the facility. MA duties, including patient assessment, vitals, medication administration and lab draws. Demonstrates customer service and patient care excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned. Alternating weekends and holidays. Mixture of 6, 8 & 12 hour shifts with alternating weekends and holidays. Must have current Florida State License, two years of experience required MA / Xray Tech duties: Operate and adjust imaging equipment. Explain procedures to patients. Position patients and equipment. Maintains exam rooms by stocking exam rooms with necessary supplies. Maintains equipment and reports any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor or appropriate service provider. Fast-paced work environment Will be trained to do BAT and URINE DRUG SCREEN Asking medical histories Preparing patients for examination Assisting the physician during exams Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Performing basic laboratory tests Preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician Transmitting prescription refills as directed Drawing blood (will train) Taking electrocardiograms Removing sutures and changing dressings Administering TB
