About The Position

Under general supervision, but in line with established PC&HC policies and Procedures perform clinical tasks to keep the practitioners and providers flow of patients running smoothly. Perform limited scope x-ray.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be Licensed in X-Ray with ARRT, and state license
Must maintain current and valid x-ray license.
Must maintain a CPR Certification.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds/ walk and/or stand for up to ten hour shifts-bend or stoop throughout shift
Must have computer skills
Must follow all HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
Must be supportive of our mission in order to provide healthcare to the underinsured and uninsured.

Responsibilities

Represent PC&HC to patients/visitors in a caring, courteous, and professional manner.
Provide prompt, efficient and accurate patient care.
Prepare x-ray room for use and sterilizes equipment and supplies.
Conduct daily health center room clean-up
Assist provider with procedures and patient care.
Perform EKG, venipuncture, suture removal, splinting, breathing treatment, immunizations, audiometry test, etc.
Provide patient education as warranted communicating laboratory and diagnostic testing results by phone and mail.
Utilize eclinical software for patient records.
Triage calls for provider to include determining emergencies, identifying symptoms, using discretion for work in appointments and refilling routine prescriptions after reviewing medical chart.
Maintain quality monitoring logs; i.e.; refrigerator, lab test, immunizations, lab inventory and stocking of supplies.
Check equipment functionality and controls.
Prepare patient for radiologic procedure, including explanation of process.
Take all necessary protective precautions, including, but not limited to, vests and protective gloves to avoid exposure.
Operate x-ray machine by performing limited scope x-ray.
Maintain and handle x-ray equipment appropriately.
Improve the patient experience and health care processes and help assure the provision of high quality health care, as well as an ongoing process of performance improvement.
Complete all required paperwork.
Plan and organize work load to maintain efficient patient operations in the Health Center.
Maintain a strong patient focus while working collaboratively within the teams multiple demands and patient needs.
Treat all patient information confidentially and in accordance with established guidelines.
Perform all other duties as required or assigned.
