We are looking for a full-time X-Ray Runner/Aide to be based at the outpatient clinic located in Chicago's Galewood clinic (just north of Oak Park, IL). The position is primarily responsible for assisting X-Ray Technologists, transporting patients from the waiting area and bringing them to x-ray while upholding exceptional professionalism and providing excellent customer service to all patients and staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Excellent written, interpersonal oral communication skills.
  • One year experience in a medical environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a positive demeanor with patients, peers, supervisors, and physicians, especially when receiving feedback or direction.
  • Maintains the highest level possible of customer service standards in patient care.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, medical staff, and radiology technologists.
  • Oversees patient tracking in the Electronic Medical Record.
  • Escorts patient to and from waiting room and prepares them for x-ray.
  • Assist radiologic technologist with cleaning and disinfecting the x-ray room between patients and setting up for the next patient.
  • All other duties as assigned.
