We are looking for a full-time X-Ray Runner/Aide to be based at the outpatient clinic located in Chicago's Galewood clinic (just north of Oak Park, IL). The position is primarily responsible for assisting X-Ray Technologists, transporting patients from the waiting area and bringing them to x-ray while upholding exceptional professionalism and providing excellent customer service to all patients and staff.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Excellent written, interpersonal oral communication skills.
- One year experience in a medical environment, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a positive demeanor with patients, peers, supervisors, and physicians, especially when receiving feedback or direction.
- Maintains the highest level possible of customer service standards in patient care.
- Communicates effectively with patients, medical staff, and radiology technologists.
- Oversees patient tracking in the Electronic Medical Record.
- Escorts patient to and from waiting room and prepares them for x-ray.
- Assist radiologic technologist with cleaning and disinfecting the x-ray room between patients and setting up for the next patient.
- All other duties as assigned.
