About The Position

Arcarithm is seeking a talented X Lab Network Engineer E4 to join their team. This role will serve as the primary Network Engineer supporting the C2BMC X-Lab Test Program, as well as a Network Engineer and Developer supporting network build-out and deployments to the operational environment. The engineer will work with the X-Lab Events Team to understand the test schedule and support all upcoming tests. Requirements

  • Generally has 3+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
  • A solid understanding of the OSI Model, TCP/IP, routing protocols BGP and OSPF.
  • Proven network traffic analysis, diagnostic, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Firewall experience with Juniper firewalls is a must.
  • Experience in UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, VLANs, GRE Tunnels, and TCP/IP network designs.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-vendor switching routing (Juniper), WAN optimizer, TACLANEs, and optical transport equipment.
  • Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as STIG compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts.
  • Familiarity with RMF, including hands-on work with RMF topics and the assessment of compliance of information systems with DoD RMF standards (review, verify, and validate required DoD IA RMF documentation and artifacts using DoDI 8510.01/DoD Risk Management Framework).
  • Effective communication skills with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers as well as independently on large field projects.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
  • Active Security Clearance is required.

Nice To Haves

  • The ideal candidate will be a proven network engineer with hands-on mid-level experience and knowledge of network design, development, and testing methodologies.
  • Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration skills.
  • Previous background working in a virtual environment.
  • Previous background working with dockers and containers.
  • Administer ACAS and ESS (formally HBSS).
  • Previous experience with ConfigOS.
