The ABC11 news internship for Spring 2027 is designed for students who want to understand how a story moves from the anchor desk to every screen, reaching audiences across platforms. Interns will work directly alongside anchors and digital producers to assist in producing stories, creating original content, and engaging with our audience on social networks. This is an ideal opportunity for a student interested in broadcast journalism, digital media, multimedia storytelling, or on-air talent development.
Requirements
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience using non-linear editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, and/or Final Cut Pro.
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar graphic design software.
- Experience capturing photo and/or video content using DSLR or comparable camera equipment.
- Experience in journalism (print, digital, and/or broadcast) and/or television, news, or new media production.
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- Fully available from January 2027 through June 2027
- Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Raleigh/Durham NC area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the Raleigh/Durham NC area

Nice To Haves
- Undergraduate students in their junior or senior preferred.
- Major or previous coursework in Broadcast Journalism, Digital Media, Communications, Multimedia Journalism, or related field.
