This part-time, 9-month position provides writing and academic support to La Salle University student-athletes, helping them strengthen their writing skills across disciplines with an emphasis on clarity, grammar, organization, and critical thinking. As a member of the Academic Support for Student-Athletes (ASSA) team, this student-facing position delivers targeted academic interventions designed to promote academic success, persistence, and NCAA eligibility, with particular emphasis on supporting at-risk student-athletes. The position develops and facilitates targeted workshops and academic support initiatives focused on foundational writing courses, including ENG 110, ENG 111, and ENG 210, while providing individualized academic assistance through one-on-one consultations for student-athletes who seek support independently or are referred by faculty, coaches, or professional staff. The role works collaboratively with the ASSA team to identify students in need of academic intervention, develop strategies to improve academic performance, and connect student-athletes with appropriate campus resources. Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build positive relationships with students and campus partners, and a commitment to fostering academic excellence are essential for success in this role.
