About The Position
Writes and produces news and feature content and programming as assigned for use in broadcasts and web and social media. Adapts and/or translates content produced in English into native language, as assigned. Versions content produced in native language into English for distribution, as assigned. Contributes to teamwork, facilitating tasks of teammates, as needed. Meets VOA standards for productivity, quality, and meeting deadlines. Makes suggestions about policy and workflow improvements. Works independently or as a member of a team. Has specialized knowledge including formal education in a field desired by VOA, regularly demonstrating that added ability through the performance of his/her duties. Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Fluency in target language (written, spoken) and deep knowledge of the target area, plus the ability to adapt stories into English as assigned, within the time assigned
- Has specialized knowledge including formal education in a field desired by VOA, regularly demonstrating that added ability through the performance of his/her duties
