About The Position

This position is Sunday- Thursday 11pm-7am. Position Objective: To wrap finished rolls when assigned to ensure continuous flow of material.

Experience in carpet manufacturing preferred
Must be able to stand or walk for the majority of shift
Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry loads of up to 65 pounds without assistance
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, grasp and reach frequently
Must be able to work in industrial environment with elevated noise levels, dust, dirt, humidity and temperature variations
Must participate in pre-shift stretching exercises
Must be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and associates
Must be able to work well under pressure with the ability to meet deadlines
Must be able to comply with all plant policies
Must be able to recognize various types of defects
Must be able to perform tasks quickly and safely

On the job training during normal work hours, with qualified COJT (Certified on the Job Trainer) selected by the supervisor

Wrap finished goods based on specifications on the Production Specification Sheet (reference TTR)
Apply barcode and information tickets to the outside of the poly wrap on the end of the roll
Position cores on the roll-up rollers
General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work environment
Perform other duties as directed by supervisor or plant management
Inspect rolls for any wet, wrinkled, or burned spots – refer to the quality inspection board for more defect types
