About The Position

The Material Handler supports the efficient flow of materials throughout the manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, staging, and delivering raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure production lines operate safely and without interruption.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred or will be provided).
  • Basic computer skills for inventory or ERP systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred; experience in wood products or door manufacturing a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and transport lumber, hardware, panels, and other door components to designated production areas.
  • Ensure materials are accurately staged for daily manufacturing schedules.
  • Move finished doors to storage or shipping areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
  • Maintain accurate counts of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Report low stock, damaged goods, or discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
  • Complete required documentation for material transfers and inventory updates.
  • Use warehouse management or ERP systems to track material movement (if applicable).
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and in compliance with company and OSHA guidelines.
  • Perform basic equipment inspections before use and report maintenance needs.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas to prevent hazards.
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure materials are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Assist with loading trucks for outbound shipments as needed.
  • Support continuous improvement activities in material flow and warehouse organization.
