About The Position

Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, aligned with regulatory compliance and the nursing process. This role involves conducting thorough patient assessments, administering medications, assisting physicians during procedures, responding to medical emergencies, and advocating for patient rights and needs. The position also includes providing patient and family education, implementing infection control protocols, monitoring medical equipment, and promoting patient safety. Participation in audits and compliance checks is also a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

Active Georgia RN State Licensure or Compact State Licensure
BLS: Basic Life Support, required or within 90 days of hire
ACLS- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, required or within 90 days of hire
PALS-Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support required or within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Six months to one-year experience or training.
New Graduates will be on an extended track of orientation, mentoring, and precepting.

Responsibilities

Administers prescribed medications, monitors for side effects, and documents administration and reassessment.
Assists physicians/providers during procedures.
Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions.
Advocates for the rights and needs of patients.
Provides patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
Implements and adheres to infection control protocols.
Monitors and operates medical equipment as needed for patient care and safety.
Promotes patient safety by adhering to National Patient Safety Goals.
Maintains a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.
Participates in audits, chart reviews, and compliance checks.
