About The Position

Avalon Care Center Federal Way is committed to providing exceptional skilled nursing and rehabilitation services in a caring, resident-focused environment. We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Wound Nurse RN to help lead our skin management and wound care program while making a direct impact on resident outcomes. In this role, you'll work closely with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary care team to promote healing, improve quality of life, and ensure residents receive the highest level of care.

Requirements

• Current Washington Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Clinical experience in wound care, skilled nursing, long-term care, or geriatrics preferred
• Knowledge of infection control principles and nursing best practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, physicians, and team members
• Ability to adapt to changing resident and facility needs

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the facility's wound care and skin management program
• Develop and update individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team
• Assess wounds, monitor healing progress, and implement treatment plans
• Educate residents, families, and staff on wound care and prevention
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure quality outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with nursing standards
