Requirements

• Associate of Nursing
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience.
• 1 year (within the last 5 years) recent wound care (ET) experience.
• Computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Registered Nurse: NV
• Basic Life Support - CPR - American Heart Association

• Bachelors Of Nursing or health related area
• Other current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the Bachelor's Degree program within three years.
• Masters of Nursing MSN
• Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse

Responsibilities

• As a RN Wound Enterostomal Clinical Coordinator, you will be a clinical expert and program leader, pivotal in advancing specialized wound, ostomy, and continence care to significantly improve patient outcomes.
• Every day you will drive excellence through direct clinical assessment, evidence-based treatment, interdisciplinary consultation, protocol development, and staff education.
• Success in this role demands critical thinking, meticulous attention to clinical detail, and leadership acumen to translate complex data into actionable strategies for patient care and program efficiency.
• The Clinical Coordinator Enterostomy works within the scope of nursing practice and provides patient care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Completes monthly statistics of patients seen by the department.
• Attends workshops/seminars in ostomy and/or related topics to maintain expertise in clinical practice.
• Serves as resource person for nurses, physicians and other health care professionals within the hospital.
• Assists nursing staff in the nursing care of patients receiving WOC services.
• Assesses and initiates the plan of care for the management of referred patients with ostomies, wounds, fistulas, incontinence or actual or potential for skin breakdown.
