As a Wound Care Technician, you will be an important part of the care team – treating each patient’s individual needs, documenting care, and supporting our staff.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years Patient Care Assistant
- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
Nice To Haves
- 1 year Wound Care
Responsibilities
- Perform delegated patient care procedures keeping in mind the age specific needs of the patient.
- Assist in the preparation of units, patient rooms and beds.
- Greet all outpatients and prepares them to be seen by RN and Physician by removing Wound dressings, taking VS, and photography.
- Transfer patient and assist physicians and Wound Care RN in outpatient Wound and Vascular Center.
- Assist RN in Hydrotherapy by preparing equipment and patient; clean whirlpool tanks.
