About The Position

This is a full-time, 36 hours per week, salaried position for a Wound Care Specialist (RN) focusing on Hyperbaric Wound Therapy. The role is primarily based at the Harrisburg, Mechanicsburg, and Carlisle Wound Centers, with potential staffing needs in Hanover or Lancaster. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4 pm, with no weekends or on-call duties. While prior wound care knowledge is appreciated, it is not required. The department is described as small but mighty, featuring 5-8 exam rooms and a hyperbaric treatment area. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
• Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse license or eligible for State Board Licensure.
• CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
• Exemplary clinical judgment with critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive, caring relationships with executives, managers, physicians, and non-physician providers.
• Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment and handle multiple and changing priorities.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

• Current licensure either in the state where the facility is located or, if the facility is in a state covered by the multistate Nursing Licensure Compact (NLC) agreement, a multistate license issued by a participating NLC state. Hires and current employees working on an out-of-state NLC license who later change their residency to the state where the facility is also located will have 60 days upon changing their residency to apply for licensure within that state.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking in identifying clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues for patients within an episode of care.
• Maintains ongoing follow-up evaluation for appropriate ostomy and/or skin care patients with needs after discharge from the hospital to provide continuity of care.
