About The Position

The Wound Care Nurse works in harmony with the nursing staff assessing, treating, and creating care plans for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and/or continence conditions. This position is for a Wound Care Nurse with a true passion for patient care, compassion for others, and a commitment to teamwork.

Requirements

Must be a licensed RN in good standing with the state (as required)
1-2 years wound care experience required
Reliable transportation required

Nice To Haves

Wound Care Certification (WOCN) preferred
1+ years of long term care experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide consultation and direct assistance in the management of patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc).
Offer in-service programs as needed to assist nursing, rehabilitation and medical staff to maintain knowledge and competence in wound care.
Collect, analyze and document information and statistics related to wounds in the facility, as well as perform clinical evaluations for potential wound admissions.
