Requirements
- Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN or LPN within the state in which you work.
- Must possess a current CPR certification.
- Have completed (or complete within first week of hire) specialized training in infection prevention and control (ex. CDC’s infection and control modules or other qualified infection control education).
- Any additional state-specific training required for the position will be completed at the earliest available opportunity.
- Must be able to communicate in English and have the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work hours as scheduled based on the requirements of the position/assignment.
- Minimum two (2) years of RN/LPN experience in a hospital, nursing facility or other related healthcare facility, preferably in long term care.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching or training adult learners and have prior experience/training in Infection Prevention and Control processes preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assess resident’s needs, develop an individualized care plan, administer nursing care, evaluate nursing care and supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
- Follow all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the community's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.
