About The Position

Coordinates treatment to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plans of care for patients throughout the organization, including goals, treatment implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. Provides education to patients, families, and staff regarding wound management, pressure ulcer prevention, support surfaces, dressing selection, and other therapies. Serves as a resource for physicians and staff.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved nursing program; a BSN is required.
• Current licensure as a professional registered nurse in Missouri, or eligibility for licensure, is required.
• Two years of experience in wound care is required.
• Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) or Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse Certification (WCON) is required.
• Must be well motivated, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Must be able to interact effectively with a wide variety of people.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to serve as an example to others.
• Maintains BLS.
