About The Position

AMG Specialty Hospital - Central Indiana Muncie Campus is seeking a full-time Wound Care Nurse (RN or LPN) to join their team. This role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and the opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives. AMG is an employee-owned company (ESOP) and is part of a Top-5 Post-Acute Care Hospital System. The Wound Care Nurse will evaluate and treat in/outpatient wounds, provide direct and indirect patient care in an acute care setting, communicate with physicians and co-workers about patient conditions, and perform general nursing duties with supervision. Wound Care certification and experience are preferred but not required, as training will be provided. The position requires a commitment of at least 2 years, with the sign-on bonus or tuition reimbursement offered under an Employment Assistance Agreement.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Indiana RN or LPN Licensure in good standing.
• ACLS Certification
• BLS Certification
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

• Wound Care certification and experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates new and existing in/out patient's wound.
• Monitors and treats the wound as per treatment policies and procedures.
• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the acute care setting.
• Communicate with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment.
• Perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
