About The Position
Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens, a faith-based, nonprofit, short-term rehabilitation and skilled geriatric care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, is seeking a Part-Time Wound Care Nurse - RN - Registered Nurse. Since 1971, we have served the community as a place of life, caring, and a true home for our residents. This role is for a Registered Nurse with a focus on wound care, working 24 hours per week.
Requirements
- Current licensure in the State of MA as a Registered Nurse - RN.
- Minimum of 2 years of Wound Care experience in a Nursing Home.
Nice To Haves
- Wound Care Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ensure completion of skin assessments assigned to charge nurses.
- Review of admission skin assessments.
- Inform necessary departments of new or worsening skin issues.
- Ensure necessary referrals are made.
- Rounding with wound care specialist.
- Ensure high risk residents have interventions/preventative measures in place.
- Correspond with DME suppliers to ensure equipment and supplies are ordered and delivered and pick-up timely.
- Ensure that acute care plans are completed according to policy.
- Ensure, assess and monitor appropriate treatments are in place.
