Full-Time Wound Care Nurse/LPN
About The Position
Innovative Wound Solutions is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide mobile wound care treatments in patients’ homes in the Salt Lake City area. Treatments are performed under a plan of care established by a Nurse Practitioner. The role offers schedule flexibility and a bonus opportunity. The LPN performs UltraMist wound care treatments, manages dressings, documents treatment sessions, communicates patient progress and concerns to the supervising Nurse Practitioner, and provides wound-care education to patients and caregivers as appropriate. The role requires travel to patient locations and compliance with infection-control and safety standards.
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of Utah.
- Home Health experience or similar.
- Valid Utah driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.
- Experience with wound care and wound vacs.
- Willingness to be trained in UltraMist technology.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to patient locations.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Wound Vac Certification or verifiable experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform UltraMist wound care treatments according to the plan of care provided by the supervising Nurse Practitioner.
- Remove and reapply appropriate wound care dressings according to the plan of care.
- Document treatment sessions accurately and thoroughly.
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Nurse Practitioner regarding patient progress and concerns.
- Educate patients and caregivers on wound care management as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with infection-control and safety standards.
- Travel to patient locations.
